Mummy, you don't need too if you are out of budget this month. (Shopping and kids)

Loving shopping is everyone dreams, including myself. Well, I make it happen - for a simple reason it makes me happy like chocolates does. I call these happy food.

When I have kids, it's even more encouraging as you are now looking into more to buy. Baby rattles, toys, clothes and shoes etc. I love putting shopping desire into business - better deals every time?. When the kids are at their toddler age, we bought lots of baby clothes to sell, and I venture into diaper cake business when they are on diaper, development and educational tools when April need it the most and yes, the house is filled with toys and more or less look like a preschool or like my sister use to say - let's go to your playground! Kids are of course happy at first but a bit bored overtime with the existing material and yes I had enough of toys purchasing - it gradually satisfies the shopping desire. Best thing is both kids had the chance to improve their motor skills.

As for personal self, I love to shop preloved. You get to recycle, sharing your beloved items, get to shop at lower price, giving away things to those in need and at the same time making friends. Kids are taught to sell their existing toys or belonging before getting a new one. As in if they are willing to sacrifice their existing toys, they got a new one ie. still preloved. Those are younger days.

Now as Jaden is elder, he must evaluate the value. With the amount, let's say RM100 was earned from the sale, he will got to get the same value to purchase. They DO have a very long list, not that they need it, they just want it. So we tell them the importance of want and need.

Clear Example: He want a bigger aquarium so that his fish has more space to swim. Being an avid shopper mummy, I would just say yes. Daddy who is more rationale would think who is going to take care of the fish? Truly.. daddy take care of the fish thereafter and kids are just looking at it. After getting some angpow money, Jaden wants a bigger aquarium after he sees one. Tragic - who is going to manage it?

Give them alternative, would you want lessons (swimming, piano etc - based on their interest) as a replacement? Saying no to them without these will just make them mad. (Yes, reminding myself too)

It takes two to parent a child. Parent need to come into a common conclusion on how they want to shape their child, how to and when to and what to - yes words seem easy, and yes it's not easy as it seems. But, I could reassure you that it will work if you manage it well. If there is a clash of opinion, it's great to talk about it during your marriage time where kids are not at sight. Communicate is a vital tools. List down, and stream down which one to adopt, if it doesn't work, move on to the next.

Parenting needs a lot of patience. having writing this, I am reminding myself too. We are a better parent from day to day. No one can be a super daddy and super mummy in a day just because they attend courses or listen to others. You will need to gain your experience and adopt the thing you learnt from others or courses. Practice. You may soon reap the beauty of it when the time comes.

Just a humble sharing:

Both had their first swimming class yesterday and happily April just out of a sudden says "Thank you Mummy!" I am puzzled, but just know what she meant. Mummy holding out tears. (After all these while managing her speech and each day thinking whether she knows what's happening)

This morning, I am taking out RM1 and tell Jaden to buy himself some food so that he could have a snack just in case I am late back from work to fetch him. He replied, "Mummy, you don't need too if you are out of budget this month. I am okay." My tears holding back on a happy note (only mummy would understand) He grown up too fast, my baby boy. It's not about the RM1, it's about how thoughtful he is and his first word of "budget".

Happy Wife, Happy Life.

Both kiddo following mummy to have a walk after dinner. Each brings a "fan" to keep themself cool.

Genting International Children's Festival until 20th March 2016

Genting International Children's Festival is back!

Great times await at SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland plus showcase of Giant  Balloons, Cheerleaders and Clowns

Genting Highlands, 13 March 2016 – Nearly 100 children from two Selangor homes were invited as part of the special guests at the official launch of Genting Children’s Festival today at First World Plaza.

Gracing the event was YB Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Minister of Women, Children & Community Development. With her was Miss Katherine Chew, Vice President of Resort Communications and Public Relations of Genting Malaysia Berhad.

After the officials the launch was made successful with balloons sculptures, clowns and mob dances – D8 dances who made a spectacular entrance at the stage.
The guests were later taken to the Universal Walk at First World Plaza and were greeted by Old Master Q and friends plus loads of clowns.  Before entering the balloon festival site, the awardwinning Cheer Aces from Subang Jaya gave an adrenalin performance that attracted many visitors to gather and watched the 10 minutes performance.

At the balloon festival site, the main highlight namely the 20-foot tall giant balloon in a shape of a monkey was an awesome sight.  The giant balloon structure is located at the centre of the Universal Walk and is said to be one of the biggest balloon ever made or seen in Malaysia. Besides the giant Monkey, other eye-catching and colourful balloon structures depicting animals are lions, elephants, hippopotamus and many more were also there to make excellent selfie and photo opportunities for visitors.

After the balloons, clowns and cheerleaders, the children together with Datin Paduka Chew adjourned to the SnowWorld for more eggs-tra fun activities.  This includes arts and craft plus Egg-venture Hunt to search for the hidden “eggs”.  There were also aplenty ‘pastel-coloured eggs’ for selfies and photo opportunities.

Loving the Easter Egg theme.

Yay! It's school holiday and no school. We need not wake up so early during weekend but we have to keep them occupied, especially when you have active children. Else, your home kitchen or toilet become their play spot aka. water play and kitchen utilities are becoming their "weapon" and "shield".
Snow World has been my favourite and now with kids around it is more meaningful. It's their very first time and the elder wanted to go in over and over again.

Fun riding

Thanks for the patience Wei En! Love this shot.

Happy girl trying her jumping shoot, over and over again.

Not to be missed - cheeky boy in action. He loves the cool and "snow". Fall in love with this picture.

Photo captured in an igloo. Okay, the seat is really freezing cold.

Another favourite photo. This boy so over excited with tube slide. Mummy was like freaking out, and not too sure whether he knows how this tube work  - as he ain't going for 2nd round. LOL

Jaden and daddy with his snow creation.

Happy Easter Day!

The event ended with a sumptuous meal for the guests at the newly opened The Food Factory special edition of school holidays and Genting International Children’s Festival High Tea.

For holiday makers, be sure to visit Resorts World Genting and the Genting International Children’s Festival from now until 20 March 2016. The Genting International Children’s Festival is a memorable carnival parade with clowns entertaining the kids and a live Clown Comedy Show.  There are also performances by 15 award winning cheerleaders and a great show of balloons at the Time Square.  Not forgetting Old Master Q and friends are lending a festive atmosphere here at the event with daily live shows at 12pm, 5.30pm and 8pm at the Times Square.

Using only the best ingredients, Jerlynn’L has a wide line-up of products ranging from body care, skincare to hair care that are suitable for babies and children. Give your precious little ones the nurture and care they need with Jerlynn’L.

Here is their outlet at Mid Valley: See how lovely the individual packaging!

Thanks to the organizer for having a brief introduction about Jerlynn's L. product and explaining on their brand value last week. The event was a success. While the mummies blogger are busy analyzing the paraben and fragrance free range of products, the kids are not neglected. They are enjoying their play at Megakidz Mid Valley - all that they want. I would say it's awesome as it blends well with the product purpose - for children as well as for adults.

An introduction to it's brand value, we start the session with warm greetings and each kids are been given a soap bar (the one on April's hand) and some biscuit mold. We could shape it up according to our creativity. Best is you can use it after 24 hour once it's fully dried. With kids, they are being thought how soap are being made, and making their own soap, you will know it is definitely safe for them, and they would be at joy to use their own creation. Do check out their packaging at their stall - that comes with instruction manual.

It's range are not limited to the below, and there are more in stall. Today, Let's explore how the packaging actually works. Beside great for the skin, it's educational as well. You can teach colours; blue range is for skin, green range is for the hair, yellow is babycare and red - alert! You will need to ask mummy as it's the Bugs Repellent. I personally love the packaging as it fits well to handbag and on the go - for the lotion size. The big Wash bottle, be it for hair or body, fits perfectly on the standard stainless steel tray and looks great.

Next, here comes my favorite ice-cream freshener. Happy to get a chance to have a skillful ice-cream scooping session during this workshop. If you have sinus, you will know that eucalyptus oil is well known in comforting sinus or flu. This beautiful pouch that comes with purchase will enable you to hang it in the room, at the door knob or anywhere away the reach of children. A very nice freshener and it could last about a month or 2. The "ice-cream" will dissolves  over time and you would know when is your next purchase should be. In store they would also have chamomile and others. Selling at RM19.90 for a scoop of 60g.

Here is the green packaging and it's the hair series!
