Thanks Dorsett for inviting us for a reunion dinner and we had the Everlasting Prosperity Menu. If you are looking for private room for dining, look no further as they have 2 table private room that is away from the crowd for that family and business moment.

I love the yee sang as it comes with soft shell crab, which is unique compare to the norm like salmon fish. Taste good and not too sweet with the special sauce.

This double boil soup contains lots of ingredients which makes it very heavily taste.
Double Boiled Cordyceps Flowers With dry scallops, black chicken and fish maw (individual)
I would give credit to this dish, not too much on the presentation but the serving portion is big. Given half spring chicken for each pax is satisfying and the skin is crispy and marinated well.

Golden crispy roasted spring chicken with prawn crackers
Next, my favorite cod fish. Since this is a halal restaurant, it doesn't comes with lard oil, but the combination makes it taste good too. It comes with bean curd, so it's a double protein serving, and great for kids since there is not much bone. Easy to eat I would say. Thumbs up!

Steamed silver cod fish with Taiwanese bean curd and king soy sauce
Fresh water prawn served well, just right and not too cook. The meat texture is springy and nice. sauce is a perfection. Most of the prawn does comes with lots of "ha kou" too.

Steamed Fresh Water Prawns with golden garlic and egg white

Vegetable outlook is a bit plain and nothing much to shout about on the taste.

Pan fried scallops stuffed with prawn paste

Here comes the glutinous rice. Delicious, only that we are too full to eat a lot of it, but it taste really good. The glutinous rice is well cook, aromatic and serving portion is a lot too. Great for big family.

Steamed lotus leaf and glutinous rice with diced chicken, yam and duck
CNY cake and mochi are yummy. Check out the CNY cake texture below:

Chilled mango puree with mix fruits and sago

Overall, we enjoyed the dining at The Emperor. The food presentation may need to be improved, and the service as it is kind of slow on the day we dine as there is 2 staff that is off that day. Hopefully it can be improved.

What I like most about the private room dining is you can contained all kids in the room without having to disturb other customers and they can play around within your sight. I think this would be my concern if I were to dine for CNY.

Gong Xi Fa Chai! May the new year brings more happiness, luck, joy, best of luck and great fortune to all.
