The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2025 at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur began with a warm welcome from the evening’s hosts, Alesya and Maria. Their presence set an inviting tone for the night, guiding guests through a programme filled with festive charm and heartfelt moments.

The celebration opened with a beautiful performance by the Every Nation Church Choir. Their voices carried through the lobby with classic Christmas carols such as O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald, Silent Night, Holy Night and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The music created an immediate sense of comfort and nostalgia, perfectly capturing the emotion of the season.

Before the grand tree was illuminated, Mr. Paul, General Manager of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, delivered a warm welcome address. His words brought everyone together in anticipation for the countdown. When the tree finally lit up, the lobby glowed in soft, golden light, marking the official start of the festive season for the hotel.

A standout highlight of the evening was the hotel’s gingerbread fireplace. It has quickly become a signature festive attraction, admired by guests the moment they step into the lobby. Conceptualised by Executive Chef Fadzil Arshad, the fireplace was designed to evoke the warmth of home while showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of the culinary team. Its aroma of ginger, honey and spices added an irresistible charm to the lobby.

The creation of the fireplace was an ambitious task. A team of ten pastry chefs worked on it for two weeks under the guidance of Pastry Chef Rozaini. Their dedication resulted in a detailed and beautifully crafted centrepiece that captured the attention and admiration of everyone present.
