Ministry of Health Exclusive
Breastfeeding Campaign
There has been lots of Public Awareness
Campaign to encourage moms to breastfeed their child for 6 months EXCLUSIVELY. Parents
are now more rely on public forum and social media for advices and
justification of old myth, which I find it has benefit the new generation as a
whole.
Breast milk is good for baby
because:-
1. Breast milk Builds natural antibodies for
the child
2. Breast milk Reduces risks of baby getting
diarrhoea, respiratory infections, allergy and a lot more
3. Breast milk Encourages brain development
Breastfeeding
is good for mommies because:-
1. Breastfeeding Reduces chances of getting
breast cancer

calories per day)
3. Breastfeeding Mothers has fewer problems with weight
4. Breastfeeding Mothers has better healing postdelivery
4. Breastfeeding Mothers has better healing postdelivery
5. Breastfeeding Helps mother
uterus return to its normal size more quickly—at about six weeks postpartum,
compared with 10 weeks if you don’t breastfeed.
6. Breastfeeding Has Less risk of cancer
Breastfeeding can decrease your baby’s risk of some childhood cancers. And you’ll have a lower risk of postmenopausal breast cancer and ovarian cancer, an often deadly disease that’s on the rise.

Ministry of Health
Malaysia has had brochures circulated around, and aims to
encourage mother to breastfeed exclusively for 6 month in order for the child
and mother to lead a healthy life.
I had personally experience breastfeeding for
both of my kids and am encouraging other mummies to do the same.
There are moments of frustrations – baby not
able to latch, worries baby may not get enough liquids, worries they are
hungry, stress of getting up to breastfeed, breastfeeding thoughts are not
shared and accepted well by family members and the list goes on.
Do not fret as it happens to all mummies,
especially first timer. If you have problem having baby to latch on in a
correct manner, or sore nipples, you can option for pump out. It’s equally
beneficial and you can even continue while you are back to work.
Only one
advice, do let baby latch on as frequent and whenever you are available. Breast
milk is associated with demand and supply, the more you pump and let baby latch
direct, the more your body will produce.
Do get enough rest, plenty of drinks, soup,
liquids, and eat more nutritional food.
You are not alone, should you want to seek
more info, do visit the webpage and there are SMS assistance as well.
