During our stay in Hualien, we spent 2 nights at Mazor Hotel Hualien, and it turned out to be a really pleasant and unique experience — especially for families.
Staying in Hualien also made the experience even more enjoyable, as the area is known for its relaxed pace, beautiful coastal scenery, and easy access to nature. From Mazor Hotel Hualien, it was very convenient to arrange sightseeing — our driver was able to pick us up directly from the hotel for whale and dolphin watching along the Pacific coast, as well as other nearby attractions like Taroko Gorge and coastal viewpoints.
We also loved the surroundings near the hotel. Within a short walk, there were many nice local restaurants, cozy cafes, and even Japanese food options nearby, making dinner plans very easy. There were also laundry shops within walking distance, which was very convenient for a multi-day stay. The area felt peaceful yet practical, making Mazor Hotel a great base to explore Hualien comfortably
