During our recent trip to Taipei, we stayed at Roaders Hotel Zhonghua (Ximending area) for 2 nights - and it honestly turned out to be one of the most fun and convenient stays of the entire trip. Bed is comfortable and perfect if you are travelling light.
If you’re looking for a hotel that is not just a place to sleep but also adds to your travel experience, this one is definitely worth considering. Love the cowboy roaders concept and the interiors are so nice, with big comfy sofa, cinema TV style, and lots more.
๐ Perfect Location – Right Opposite Ximending
One of the biggest highlights is the location.
The hotel is literally just across the road from Ximending, which means:
- 1–3 minutes walk to Ximending pedestrian street
- Easy access to food, shopping, and nightlife
- Very convenient for late-night walks or snacks
We didn’t even need transport most of the time — everything was just right there.
๐ Free Snacks, Drinks & 24/7 Chill Vibes
One thing we absolutely loved was the free snack and drink area.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy:
- Free snacks available in the lounge
- Free drinks (great for quick refreshment after walking around)
It makes the hotel feel very welcoming and “always open for a break” kind of vibe.

Breakfast was surprisingly enjoyable.
The highlight for us was the breakfast sandwich:

- Simple but tasty
- Easy grab-and-go style, perfect before heading out
Not overly fancy, but very practical and satisfying for travelers.

What really makes Roaders Hotel different is the free entertainment zone.
We spent quite a bit of time here because it was genuinely fun:
- ๐ Basketball arcade machine
- ๐ธ Photo print station (great for memories) my daughters love it so much and it has a few theme to play with
- ๐ฏ Carrom electric game (super addictive!)
- a stamping booth - so that you can fill in your stamp book.
It felt more like a mini funhouse than a hotel lounge — especially nice for families or groups of friends.
They even offer darts game (this needs to pay)
๐ Night Treats – Popcorn & Warm Buns
At night, the hotel also provides small comfort snacks:
- ๐ฟ Fresh popcorn with seasonings. They have daily and weekend special. Best is weekend we can try all the seasonings!
- ๐ฅฏ Warm buns, sausage buns on weekend
Perfect after a long day of walking around Ximending. It gives a very cozy “come back and relax” feeling.

Another big plus is convenience for longer stays:

- Plus, external laundromat within 5 minutes walk
This makes it very suitable for:
- Long trips
- Family travel
- Light packers who want to wash clothes mid-trip

Roaders Hotel Zhonghua is not just about location — it’s about the experience inside the hotel itself.
What we loved most:
✔ Super strategic location (right next to Ximending) and there is a Family Mart just downstairs.
✔ Free snacks + drinks all day
✔ Fun game area (basketball, photo prints, carrom)
✔ Night popcorn & buns = cozy vibes
✔ Very convenient laundry options
It feels like a budget-friendly hotel with a playful, social, and comfortable atmosphere.

Yes — especially for short trips in Taipei where we want:

- Fun hotel vibe
- Easy access to Ximending
