Dorsett Grand Subang Weekend Kid’s Stay and Dine for Free!

When the kids exclaimed "Wow" upon entering this hotel room, you will for surely want to check this out! He may love the comfy bed, excited over the kids stuff, and I am particularly loving the cute panda turquoise backpack. Not to mention the cute soft teddy that comes with it. The kids love it too.. and that's why the bears lands to their custody.
Believe it or not, YES.. it comes FOC if you take the kids stay and dine free weekend package.
One set of the teddy that comes with kids toothbrush, kids room slipper, teddy and backpack.
(Alternatively RM40 for additional set - multiply if you have more kids and if they doesn't share their toys... :P)

First foremost thanks to Phyllis and Kelly in making a great arrangement for me and my family to a weekend getaway. An awesome pre-planned itinerary so that we could just follow and the free time in between enable me to take much naps (well - more than a nap - my zillionth most needed sleep).
And loving the details on the welcome card.

At RM298.00 net per room per day, families can enjoy a weekend in this Deluxe room with breakfast and free goodies for the kids (below 12 years old). The extra bed is included. Best of all - check out is at 4pm!

And look at the boss. Loving the bathrobe. And not forgetting the kids slipper too.

Some of the fine touches for the kids - rubber ducky at the bath tub, 2 plastic drinking cup for the kids, and coloring tools to get them busy. The sharp edges are well covered as safety measure for younger kids - didn't aware I did not take any photo - kids grown up and didn't pay attention to it. ;P

Bath Tub - love the fact that you can watch the kids from the glass panel. Both are growing up too fast - and we miss those old days naked picture of theirs. And... how I miss them being in the bath tub togehter and not fighting over who can play in the tub for longer time.

We proceed to the Cupcake Decorating at Café Aroma. For group booking of more than 5 families, Dorsett Grand Subang can arrange group families activities such as Cupcake decorating at RM30.00 nett per person (minimum 10 kids) and more to make your weekend a spectacular one!

I am pretty alert during the meals though. Jaden was "questioning" as he is waiting for me most of the time to eat as he wants to go to swim. After 2 hour sitting in the restaurant, he say "Mummy why usually you just take a lil food, and now you aren't stop eating?"... Today let me indulge.. it's holiday. It's really great to take advantage of no-cooking day or home-kitchen-close-day.

Dear hubby - we should do this more often during weekend. ;) He would definitely say yes - as happy wife happy family. (Bahahaha)

Here at Terazza Brasserie. It offers Barbeque Delight buffet option at RM115.00nett per person, and the children are entitled to dine at the buffet for FREE as part of the Kids Stay and Dine for Free offer!!

The Next day breakfast at Terazza Brasserie too. Love porridge the most, others standard breakfast menu. Love the hash brown too.

Loving the daddy and kids moment. Teaching both on how coffee machine works while giving me more time to eat. (Did I just say I eat again?" Yes I did
The kids took a swim after their morning breakfast. Kids pool is lovely.

During this coming school holidays, a kids playroom is setup as an entertainment for the kids. There are kids friendly movies with comfy chairs, lego building station - mega blocks for younger kids and coloring with Faber Castell.

For fun and learning outside the hotel, you may visit concierge desk for discount ticket for Kidzania. These tickets can be used anytime during or after your stay.

They are going to allocate bigger room for the kids playroom in future too.
On Sunday, before checking out, do make reservations at The Emperor to enjoy the family Dim Sum Brunch, from 10.30am to 2.30pm. While the children play at the kids corner outside the restaurant (in which they have activities such as colouring with Faber Castell and a kid's playset), parents can relax and end the weekend feasting on all Dim Sum Delights available, priced at RM78.00 net per person.

Selection of yummy dim sum

Some of the yummy hot food. The duck soup with salted vegetable and tofu is a must try as each of us took 2 bowl each. Prawn is good too.

More desserts - bottom right is jelly made of flowers.
On a last note, the hotel offers a kids friendly stay. The room service is pretty fast if you happen to need anything. It's a great weekend stay if you wanted a weekend getaway but doesn't want to travel afar. This hotel is near to Subang Parade if you want to go for a movie or shopping.
Food is good for both restaurant that we tried in the hotel. Pool is nice.

You may not find any other place around the hotel to wander, but there is live band at Piano Lounge for that sit back and relaxing moment after dinner.

Are you at a hard stage of your life? You are not alone. Love your life & live life to the fullest!

Here is my clinging koala. He often says mum. .I want to hug you forever and ever. And I know I had to appreciate this Lil emo moment before he got a girlfriend of his own. 😆😆😆
Good weekend parents!
Love your life and live your life fullest.
This stage of life. It’s hard, you guys.
I’m talking right now to you moms who are in your early to mid 30’s. You have kids. Likely two, three, maybe four of them. They probably range in age from newborns to  7 or 8 year-olds. (Give or take a few, on all of the above mentioned stats).
In this stage of life, you are dealing with exhaustion. Mental, physical, and emotional.
In this stage of life, you are dealing with teething. With ear infections. With stomach viruses. You are juggling nap schedules, and feeding schedules and soccer schedules. A million balls you are juggling, and you probably feel like you are dropping most of them.
In this stage of life, you are dealing with guilt. Guilt over having a career, and not spending enough time with your kids, or guilt over staying home with your kids, and not doing enough to contribute financially. Guilt over being too harsh with your kids. Too lenient. Guilt that your house is clean, but your kids were ignored, or guilt that you enjoyed your children all day, and now your husband is coming home to filth. Guilt.
In this stage of life, you are bombarded daily with a whole host of decisions. Some of them life-changing, some of them not. None of them with clear cut answers. Do I vaccinate my kids? Do I not? Do I send them to public school? Homeschool? Charter school? Do I continue to breastfeed? Do I blow the budget so that I can buy all organic? Do I force my child to apologize, even though the apology will be insincere? You don’t know the answers to ANYTHING, but you feel constant pressure to figure out EVERYTHING.
This stage of life is less and less about watching your friends get married and have babies, and more and more about standing by and witnessing your friends struggle in their marriage, and even get divorced. It’s a stage where you’ve got to put in the time and the effort and the work and the energy to make sure your OWN marriage stays healthy. And that’s good, but it’s hard, too.   At this point, you or someone you know has experienced infertility. Miscarriages. Loss of a child.
It’s a stage where you are buying houses, selling houses, remodeling houses, packing up houses. And then you do it all again a few years later.
It’s a stage where your hormones are all of of whack. I mean, you’ve basically been pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding for the last ten years, right?
It’s a stage where you are struggling with identity. Is my entire identity “mommy”? Is there anything even left of me that isn’t about mothering? Is there something more glamorous I could have/should have done with my life? I LOOK like a mom now, don’t I? I totally do.
It’s a stage where you are on a constant quest for balance, and can never find it.
It’s a stage of life where you are overloaded. Constantly. You are overloaded with questions. Your children never stop asking them. You are overloaded with touch. Someone is constantly wanting to be held, holding on to you, hanging on you, touching you. You are overloaded with to-do’s. There is so much to do. It never ends. You are overloaded with worry. You are overloaded with THINGS. Your kids have way too many toys. You are overloaded with activities. You are overloaded with THOUGHTS (thoughts about how to not be so overloaded, perhaps?).
It’s hard.
So….what do you need to do to survive it all?
You need to ask for help.
You need to accept help when it’s given.
You need to not neglect your marriage. You need to put your kids down for bed early. Sit outside on the back porch with your husband, drink a glass of wine, and have a conversation.
You need girlfriends.
You need your mom.
You need older friends, who have been there and done that. Who can reassure you that you AREN’T screwing it all up as badly as you think you are.
You need to not feel bad about using your kids nap time every now and again to just do whatever the heck you want.
You need to lower your expectations….then probably lower them again.
You need to simplify.  Simplify every single part of your life, as much as it can be simplified.
You need to learn how to say “no”.
You need to practice contentment
You need to be ok leaving your kids overnight, and going away somewhere. Anywhere.
You need to do something you enjoy, every day, even if it’s for no more than 15 minutes.
You need to pray. Girl, you need to pray.
You need a coffee you love, a wine you love, and a bubble bath that you love.
Finally, and maybe most importantly, you need to remember that…..
….this stage of life is beautiful, too. Like, really really beautiful. This is the stage of life where every single older person you ever meet tells you, “you’re going to miss this”. And you already know it’s true. It’s the stage where your kids love you more than they are EVER going to love you again, for the whole rest of your life. It’s the stage where they can fit their entire selves into your lap to snuggle…and they want to. It’s the stage where their biggest problems ARE ear infections and teething and stomach viruses, and you’re not having to deal yet with things like broken hearts or addiction or bullying. It’s the stage where you are learning to love your spouse in an entirely different….harder…..better…. way. The stage where you are learning together, being stretched together, shedding your selfishness together, and TRULY being made into “one”. It’s the stage where you get to see Christmas, Halloween and the Fourth of July through your kids eyes, and it’s so much more fun and magical than it would be just through your own eyes. It’s the stage where you get to watch your parents be grandparents…and they’re really good at it. It’s the stage of life filled with field trips, class parties, costumes, swim lessons, bubble baths, dance parties, loose teeth, and first steps. And those things are so fun. It’s the stage where you are young enough to have fun, and old enough to have obtained at least SOME wisdom. It’s SUCH a great stage.
********************
It's hard,  but to me it's possible. You just had to have a WANT attitude. Happy parenting!

Esse Plus, World's First Probiotic Skin Care Launch

Congratulations to Esse Plus on the launching of it's World's First Probiotic Skin Care at the Ashley's Restaurant, Bangsar

When we think about how to avoid disease, we usually think of our body’s immune system. We don’t usually consider the fact that the microbes that live in and on us play a large role in protecting us from infection.
One of these protective microbes is Lactobacillus which are effective in preventing disease-causing microorganisms from infecting many parts of the body, such as the gut, urogenital tract and skin.

The Esse Probiotic Serum contains live Lactobacillus cultures. These tiny microbes act as your skin’s own private security force, taking the pressure off your skin’s immune system.  They give an even skin tone and prevent inflammation and puffy-looking skin, as well as slowing the ageing process and improving moisturisation.
Box with seal

Test results just came in for the Esse Plus PROBIOTIC SERUM....

In a study of 20 women between the ages of 36 and 62 an improvement in skin firmness and elasticity was seen in 100% of the test subjects.
The serum increased skin firmness by 7,2% in 14 days and 16,1% in 28 days.
The serum also increased skin elasticity by 4,4% in 14 days and by 8,6% in 28 days. Both these results show strong cumulative effects which is particularly exciting. The subje...cts used 2mg of product per sq cm twice daily - no sensitivity detected in any of the subjects.

Esse Probiotic Serum contains one billion live probiotic microbes per millilitre to expedite the colonisation of healthy microbes on your skin.

Esse Defence Moisturiser is formulated to protect and feed normal skin, providing prebiotics, probiotic extracts, Hyaluronic Acid, Kigelia and Devil’s Claw.

Probiotic Serum comes in 30ml, texture appears in yellowish colour and smells like a mixture of tea, Shea Butter and vanilla. Very moisturizing and it took a little time to fully absorb to the skin. Skin appears glowing after use.

Defense moisturizer comes in 50ml and has this lovely green smell. Great for daily use, Keep skin moisturize and suitable to all skin types.

Prebiotic and probiotic ingredients improve barrier function by bolstering the formation of tight junctions in skin cells. An extract of Devil’s Claw is used to modulate your skin’s inflammatory response, which slows the ageing process, and a targeted extract of Kigelia is added to firm the skin and improve elasticity.

Overall, I love it's packaging and the feeling of the product on the skin. Knowing it's organic means it's safe to use for all skin types. We had consume probiotics to safeguard our health and with the new invention of probiotic serum, it safeguard our skin.

Tripovo - Discovering Malaysia's Painted Heritage in line with International Museum Day 18th May 2016

Thanks Tripovo for hand picked my blog to join a media event for the International Museum Day together with Museum Negara happening at the Museum Negara's Discovery Room.

First foremost, Tripovo is for independent travelers who wants personalized itineraries with best local experiences, hotels and transfers in minutes. Tripovo marries the expertise and support of travel agent with the convenience and savings of booking online. www.tripovo.com

Tripovo together with Muzium Negara has organised a media event entitled “Discovering Malaysia’s Painted Heritage” in the celebration of International Museum Day (IMD) happening on May 18.

This is Muzium Negara's first bloggers event and thanks to Tripovo for making it happen. It's also the first event for Tripovo since they launched their website, five months ago

Since 1997, Malaysia has been celebrating International Museum Day, a day to raise awareness of the importance of museums in shaping society.

For this year, the theme Museums and Cultural Landscapes was chosen by the Conseil International des Musées (ICOM) as it sees the innate responsibility of museums to bring the needed knowledge and skills on the landscapes where they are located.

To show that Muzium Negara is keeping up with the times, majority of the media invited are bloggers and social media influencers, locals and expats. This is a first for the museum to tap into digital influencers to spread awareness of the said event.

“We are so excited as it is something new for us, we are more than happy to collaborate should it be for the benefit of the museum,” said National Museum’s Deputy Director Miss Darniza Daut.

Participants of the event started with an English guided tour of the museum’s four exhibits pertaining to different eras of Malaysia - Early history, Malay Kingdoms, Colonial Period and Malaysia today.

Thereafter, a batik painting class headed by Ms. Rosida Abdullah of the Textile Museum where people of the media get to show off their creativity using the traditional methods of making batik. Making batik is a great activity for kids and adults, and it is a great way for parents to bond with their kids with something fun and historical.
My masterpiece. ;)

Enjoying my bakso ALL BY MYSELF (haha - must be in highlight as it's a very rare scenario after you have 2 kids and any nice food will be gone in seconds whenever we are out)
Here is the delicious bakso before the event. @muzium café

Muzium Negara will have an Open Day on 18th May 2016, whereby officers of National Museum encourage everyone to visit the 22 museums under Jabatan Muzium Malaysia as entrance is free.
In fact, this includes more than 32,000 museums around the world too!
