Asia’s First Museum of Illusions

Asia’s very first Museum of Illusions, right here in Malaysia opened 26th June 2018 recently and it's a new attraction, something that you can enjoy together with your families.

The Museum of Illusions showcases over 70 exhibits of entertaining and mind-bending illusions, each of which teaches about vision, perception, the human brain, and science, allowing visitors to understand why their eyes may see things that the brain does not understand.

Here are some of the museum’s highlights:

AMES ROOM The giant and the dwarf. Experience how merely pacing back and forth allows a person to grow or shrink before your very eyes in this incredible room of illusions. To the viewer it may look like an ordinary room, but in effect it is a master of distortion, making guests experience an amazing visual illusion.

THE VORTEX TUNNEL When was the last time someone made your head spin around until you felt like you were losing ground? Could it be love or another illusion? Brave the jump into the Vortex Tunnel, where it is important to let go and not be afraid to leave behind everything you know. A one-and-only in this part of the world, the Vortex Tunnel will drive you mad and as you try really hard to simply take a step forward through a rotating cylinder – all while you are on a completely stable and flat surface.

ROTATED ROOM Are you ready to radically change your view of the world? How about a 90-degree change? Take photos of incredible poses! The only limit is your imagination.

HEAD ON THE PLATE Behold as you see someone with vanished lower body through an optical illusion.

THE CHAIR ILLUSION It is unbelievable how the perceived size of a person depends on the context which is suggested by the object which surrounds it. Explore the laws of perception, and play with roles and size ratios by simply sitting in a chair!

OPTICAL ILLUSIONS Prepare to let bewildering images play tricks on you and confuse both your eyes and brain. These visual illusions are just a reminder that our senses are imperfect, and our perception of the world is often distorted. Come and check out our collection of optical illusions…

SMART SHOP Take a little piece of museum fun home with you for a lasting memory of your experience at our gift shop. Souvenirs like Dilemma Games will let your sense of wonder and revelation linger on long after you have left the museum. You can also find optical illusions, 3D lighting, T-shirts, pencils, or notebooks, as well as gifts perfect for your young ones such as educational toys.
