Coughing - Remedy from Chinese Herb Medication?

Coughing is definitely a headache for children and even adult. Dry Cough, phlegm, vomiting while coughing, eats too full and cough follow by vomiting and the list goes on. Most parents has gone through this, frustrated, and we are seeking high and low for doctors and medications, from hospital, clinics and other medication and it seems to be hopeless. Would like to share my own experience:

a) HUKM in Cheras - (one of the semi-private government hospitals in Malaysia) provides a good medication and doctor advice for babies and toddlers. Children under 3 are NOT suitable for antibiotic, thus it won't be given to them.
Why private clinic does give those knowing it’s bad for children under 3? The doctor in HUKM told me it's because of the anxious parents who think that the cough or sore throat can't be cured without antibiotics. So, always prevent giving antibiotic to children under 3.

b) Here is a retiree doctor from Tong Shin hospital in Tokong Ling Shan. He is seeing patient weekly and cure many by prescribing Chinese herb medication. Jaden has cough occasionally and it last for long and clinical medication doesn't help. We went to this doctor and yes, he is getting better health. This doctor is famous with treating cough among adult and children and other health problems.
