Getting myself a strong start with Dutch Lady Breakfast Challenge and discover the goodness of Protein!

Many asked me, how do I do it? Parenting, working full time, blogging, cleaning the home, picking up the kids, events. Seriously, I think the strength comes naturally when you become a mother. Past week, Dutch Lady gave me a 5 days Breakfast Challenge to start the day strong and I took it up. 

I am loving this big beautiful packaging sent by Dutch Lady to kick off my 1st breakfast challenge. Reaching office hungry, I ate the mee hoon all up within minutes, with a glass of Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk, without second thought. Oh, boy! the fried mee hoon is so fulfilling. But yes, I do agree a glass of Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk completes the meal, that gives the full burp.... 

I do read up a bit on Dutch Lady - Malaysia's No.1 Milk, and here are some of the essential nutrients that contains in a glass of Dutch Lady Pure Farm milk:

* Protein that helps build and repair the tissues in our body so that it will be in good condition;
* Calcium, the key to the growth and development of strong bones and teeth for children, and helps adults maintain healthy bone mass to ensure an active lifestyle;
* Vitamin A allows our eyes to function properly and help us stay focused and alert, both at school and at work;
* Vitamin B2 supports the release of energy from carbohydrates, fats and proteins;
* Vitamin D aids the absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.

Best is high-protein content of the milk helps me feel full for a longer period of time, and prevent overeating during lunch hour. Can keep fit too. Yay! 

I am still guilty that skipping the most important meal of the day, aka breakfast has been a habit, and busy is one of the excuse which I know I shouldn't. Now that I am very convince on the benefit, and I am all ready to set in for the challenge for Day 2!

Breakfast Day 2 Challenge: A Strong Start

Cold Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk with Lemon juice, little granola's and a bowl of salad.

Do you know that we can cure the common hemorrhoid and piles with this ayurvedic remedy?
When I had lumpy piles in the morning, I would feel irritated and there goes my day.
In order to keep me going with a #strongstart this morning,  I decided to try this remedy and share this with you. Happy that it works for me!

Step 1- Take a cup of cold Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk
Step 2 - Cut the lemon,  juice it out into milk
Step 3 - Stir the lemon-milk solution well,  before drinking
Step 4 - Drink it in one go. * to be taken in the morning on early stomach for faster result. And to take it every 4 hours for immediate result.

Baba Ramdev, an Indian yoga guru known for his work in ayurveda recommends, drinking cold milk and lemon juice continuously only for a week at least and this is an amazing home remedy for bleeding piles too.

As saying says, the groundwork of all happiness is health. And with a good health, we will have good start. Day 2 breakfast not only fulfill the nutrition of the days, it also heals.

Day 3 Challenge: Quick Grab

Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk with a banana, coconut granola and dorayaki bun.

Today is a busy day as am rushing my girl to her class for Halloween party celebration. My whole family had a quick simple breakfast to fill up the tummy - each one gets a banana,  some coconut granola and a dorayaki bun.

My daily breakfast may not meet my daily nutrition requirement but by completing the breakfast with Dutch Lady PureFarm milk, I gets my daily nutrition need and a strong start.

Day 4 Breakfast Challenge : Easy Feast!

Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk with a toast bread with egg and roasted sesame dressing and a kiwi.

I love to eat clean so it's a toast bread with an egg and roasted sesame dressing, a kiwi and one cup of Dutch Lady PureFarm milk for all the required nutrient to strong start for Day 4.

This makes it a fast and good breakfast.

As for the kids,  I had prepared the same breakfast but with flavored milk as variant. 😁😁😁
No more excuse that they dislike milk as Dutch Lady PureFarm milk comes with 4 variant to choose from:
* Full cream milk
* Chocolate flavored milk
* Strawberry flavored milk
And hubby got his choice of Coffee flavored milk

Day 5 breakfast challenge : Fave Brekkie

Dutch Lady Pure Farm Milk with a roti canai and beef strips.

We are truly Malaysian and I am really into roti canai. Had it together with my favorite beef strips. And not forgetting to complete my breakfast nutrition with Dutch Lady PureFarm milk.

That's not the end of my personal breakfast challenge as yet. ;)

Thanks @dutchladymy for having this campaign and remind us that we had to get a good breakfast to had a #strongstart for the day. 5 days breakfast challenge is really something to start with.

Do you know by us doing something repeatedly and consistently for 21 days, it would become ones permanent habit? Likewise in this, having breakfast will become my habit and that I wouldn't want to miss any of it.

Being a mother of 2 schooling children is definitely taxing. While I always wanted the best for my kids but it's more important to take care of my well-being. This 5 days challenge does make a difference, more energy for me and I could do more throughout the day.

To me a strong start means confident on task, energised and being able to challenge yourself to do more.

For those whom can't drink the milk by itself, no excuses for you as here are some tips to incorporate milk as a base into your breakfast meals:

a) Smoothies: It makes an excellent, high-protein base for healthy smoothies. Try combining it with greens and a small amount of fruit for a nutritious snack.
b) Oatmeal: It provides a tasty, more nutritious alternative to water when making your morning oatmeal or hot cereal.
c) Coffee: Adding it to your morning coffee or tea will give your beverage a boost of beneficial nutrients.
d) Soups: Try adding it to your favorite soup recipe for added flavor and nutrition.
