MixFM Love Contract Day 5: Couples yoga session with Merilyn Lye, Dinner at LatestRecipe, Life Coach Session ‬

This perhaps is the more soothing day as we are having couple yoga and at least not mountain climbing or fear factor insects eating. ;P

Thanks Merilyn (YOGAhhH Fit & Fun) ‪for the quick session. We will just need about 10 minutes for couple yoga, and you could do it before bedtime to reconnect with your partner.

Lovely and excited, here we are.. love this the most as you feel relax and reconnected with trust and someone to rely on. Oh! Vulnerable.

This is when task comes in. I need to go over on top of him and need a little strength to move up.
Prem did it in the video. (on my behalf- hehe)

Some easier stretching stunts.

Reconnect - I love this picture of ours a lot.
Thanks MixFM for the video and photos. A memory of a lifetime. Thanks for having us!

After dinner in Le Meridien KL's ‪#‎LatestRecipe‬, we had Sharmini Kanniah(Life Coach) from ‪#‎LifeWorksLifeCoaching‬ to provide insights for us. ‪#‎MIXBreakfast‬‪#‎AishahRodPrem‬ ‪#‎MIXLoveContract‬ ‪#‎LeMeridienKL‬

The session is private, coaching us on our relationship.
It's a great lesson and would really love to share with our readers.

Here is some points which we both love during the session which may strike some thinking:

While we can't change the other half, we have to learn to accept them and their flaws.

One of which strikes me is I had to learn to love myself more. Something I feel awkward is to look into myself in the mirror speaking to myself. Sharmini highlights that by loving yourself, you would be able to know how it feels like to love others.
Loving yourself too simply means do what you want to do to make yourself look good.

Sometimes, kids and chores really drain us out, and those blue days makes us gloom.
It's a challenge, but making yourself look good definitely beneficial as it boost self confidence, happier, besides just pleasing others. We just need some personal moment to get our self back to track. Never too late to learn, and I am still learning to be better.

Praising your partner often too, before your partner being praised by other people- outsiders, admirers.
Praising your partners are also a form of reaffirmation of your love towards each other.

Be vulnerable and seek help.
Partners could switch our role to balance the yin and yang. If one is good at something vice versa, it need not be man have to always be the yang - stronger person, and women to be more yin - weaker. Couples complement each other which makes relationship more exciting.
Communicate how you want to be helped

Stop being a perfectionist
Stop being irritated on small little thing. With that, we will be able to do thing with love.
"Why aren't you do this, do that" is some of the familiar word. Things are not to perfection and I got irritated as it doesn't jive my way. People surrounding may be stressful and we cant do thing with love either.

Thanks to my great man who does most craziest things with me, who allow me to try anything under the moon with no limit, as I want it. It's not easy as we walk through thousands of fear, thousands of argument, thousands of tears before earning understanding, deep relationship and trust.

Being in this Love Contract is a memorable way to mark our 20th anniversary knowing each other and a blessed 10th year wedding anniversary. Love you.

Thanks to MixFM crew for these beautiful pictures.

Day 4 : Watch how ‪#‎MIXLoveContract‬ couple Jessie and Ching Siong rekindled with each other in an ice skating session yesterday.

Well, Day 3 rock climbing has given me a thrill.

Thinking that the crew won't be so cruel giving me another hard task; as earlier ask us to wear Jeans and top. So, I did and upon arriving Putrajaya IOI Mall, we both are expecting free and easy shopping spree or movie date or a nice dinner.

To my alarm again, we went for "ICE-SKATING" which freaks me out.
I really feel like holding the door handle forever. I just can't move an inch even with supervision. Duh, It's sooo sooo slippery and Mindy and Aishah, if you are reading this... I am so so scared at the rink that I cried tau.
Thanks for putting me into the rink with effort. LOL

Looking at the bright side, I am completely vulnerable and hubby has been very excited looking at my vulnerable self, helpless gesture and again, helpless face expression. True enough, it had been long on me being so vulnerable with him and the last one was jumping around screaming like a crazy woman at one of the cafe at Puchong seeing a rat running "AWAY" from me.
Spontaneous response ok? He and kids enjoy looking at me jumping around helplessly.

Thanks Tony for giving us some guide with very much patience.

Happy lady out there trying to comfort me that I will be ok, which I am NOT. Huhu.
Finally.. Mission accomplished and happy team. It's a good experience, as I had always wanted to do this but not doing it as am afraid to fall. Hubby loves it; he would enjoy more of this activity if I join in more often with him. Let's train the kids instead. Haha

Add caption
That wraps up Day 4 - with love, and be vulnerable.

Day 3: MixFM Love Contract @ CAMP5 : Building Trust and Listen to your Spouse

MixFM had us to reignite our spark by getting us to do wall-climbing together! ‪#‎MIXBreakfast‬ ‪#‎AishahRodPrem‬‪#‎MIXLoveContract‬

Hasn't been an easy task for me till now. Rock Climbing?
Lost my heartbeat at the entrance as Nicholas bought us there. We actually trying to get some hint from him almost everyday on what's next - not to say, he is definitely a very dedicated "secret keeper" LOL

Here we are at Camp5 Indoor Climbing Gym. I had always wanted to do this but fear; and he always love physical activity.
My parent and siblings know I love to walk on stage more than I like to climb.
Well, sometimes you need a little push to get things going; aren't we?

Briefing by Rod on how he want us to do things. Me trying to figure out if I can really do it, while hubby is super excited.

Hubby was blind-folded to ensure he listens well to his wife instruction. ;P

He manage to get high up even with some instruction confusion.

Trust your partner - that he will catch me if I fall??

Rod is next to climb - with shivers face. ;P

Thanks MixFM for a sum up video

Day 2: MixFM Love Contract - Exploring Couple Massage & Dinner at Gastro Sentral

Entering officially Day 2, we call it officially a Day 1 of Love Contract. This is when the task begins. As early as 6.30am, we are scheduled to be at MixFM for a recording for 8am.

It has been long since I had much surprises. I had always give surprises managing company annual dinner and events, and this time I am really thrilled, as we would only know on the spot, well for studio recording a day before (it's fair) and spontaneous question with no clue (not fair). LOL.

We are greeted with an Alphard and gives us a big WOW!. We are expecting Nic to come with MixFM car just as it was yesterday when he picks us.
Happy goer as we head to Astro office. Thanks to Le Meridian for the Bento breakfast.

An eye opener at the studio this morning as we sit beside to observe before our turn. Editing of voice is done on the spot, coordination and hand gesture on who's next. The quick response and most importantly the teamwork and bonding  of the 3 announcers that makes it wonderful. Not forgetting to credit awesome producers aka Mindy and team.

At that point, we share about  our first day and our experience so far staying in Le Meridian.

*************************************************************

At night, we had the privilege to have Pauline from Wellness Art Training Centre to teach us some couple massage therapy tricks!

Here a sum up on what we have learn during the 2 hour plus session and hope it will benefit our readers too.

Firstly, understanding your partner and your love language.

You may take a test http://www.5lovelanguages.com/
to check which category of love language that you are in:

* Words of Affirmation
* Act Of Service
* Receiving Gifts
* Quality Time
* Physical Touch

If your love language is physical touch, then couple massage is great for you and it will be beneficial if your spouse learn it too.

Secondly, set the room in dim light - candles can be lit but do ensure safety (you won't want to burnt down the room in between of intimacy. ^^), aromatherapy dehumidifier for that scene and some relaxing music for that perfect moment.

Moving on, we had our session identifying the sensitive parts of our body as it reflects a different feeling through softer touch and vice versa.
For example outer arm stroke is a normal touch. While if you apply a softer stroke at the inner arm, you would fell a different - sensual touch. This apply to thigh and also neck area near the ear loop.
Give it a try and let me know if it works for you too. ;)
Happy exploring..

Thanks MixFM crew for the video

Thanks Pauline from Wellness Art Centre for the session and being patience with our questions.

We had late dinner at Gastro Sentral thereafter as we asked Pauline too many questions (knowledge seeker we are!).

You could see EClair again here as I really love to eat them! And his Bailey drink. Wahyu is irrisistable as it's cook for 22 hours before serving hence the meat is tender and juicy. Matched with Lobster and Prawn dish. Can't really recall the name.

Some morning picture of Gastro Sentral while we had our breakfast cooking class the next day.

Our on air moment

Thanks Le Meridian for the in-house meal. No hassle - just the two of us. We filled up pretty quick, maybe cause we had all the meal by our self, and it digested well.

No drama with kids like "Sit straight! Near to the table! Hold your spoon right! No Spilling! Finish your food! Wipe your mouth! Watch out your soup bowl" and many more. Haha

Our surprises as we gets in to Presidential Suite. The floating balloon!

Special thanks to The Mind for providing a private counselling session for us too! ‪#‎MIXBreakfast‬ ‪#‎AishahRodPrem‬ ‪#‎MIXLoveContract‬‪#‎LeMeridienKL‬

We had a long chat understanding each other, things that we wanted our partner to do more for us. We discuss on relationship issues, and possible recommendations to get it solved.

It was a good sharing session as sometimes we don't really open up ourselves and having a counselling will actually open up our mind.

It may be a very small issue and it needs to be communicated.
For example, hubby helping out with house chores is very important to me. He got me all machines to ease the work but it just never help as we need people to do it.
Since I can't change him to love house chores as much as I hate doing it, we discuss to have a part time maid to get that issue sorted out.

As for him, he wanted me to be more vulnerable in the relationship. I am a strong woman, as a mother, partner and at work. The counselor suggest me to let go things at work point when I reach home, let go all small little things that irritates me (cups on the table, paper on the floor, dirty dishes and lots of laundry daily). I end up spending too much time getting all this little thing fix and forgo my poor hubby. You know when you gets too tired, you just feel like shutting down, and that's when the issue accumulate.

Don't be a perfectionist! Sydnedy and Rosie alarmed that.
You will have less time enjoying the lovely moments of family, and couple time.
